Interview Season

Whether interviewing for a position, graduate programs, or internships, it's important to be prepared. Communicate 1) why you applied to them, be specific, 2) how you can be an asset to the team/program/etc, and 3) what you hope to take away from the experience.
Remember, your CV/resume demonstrates competence, and the interview communicates fit.

Interview of the Month

Talya Leibowicz

Clinical Assistant Professor

You have experience working with various populations (e.g., refugees, first responders, and university students), which do you feel most contributed to how you currently present yourself as a clinician and researcher?

I truly think they’ve each contributed to who I am as a clinician, a researcher, and also a person in general. One of the greatest privileges of being a therapist is getting to learn from my patients and witness their stories and their journeys. I am consistently amazed by the resilience of the people I work with – whether they are refugees abroad, first responders, or UT students. The human ability to overcome and persevere through extremely challenging events is remarkable, and it continually inspires me to think about how we as clinicians and researchers can help facilitate this growth and resilience.
